Founded in 2014 by Palomo Lanna, the Barcelona-based brand paloma wool is characterized by its dedication to artistic exploration. Since its inception, it has organized an extraordinary dialogue between fashion and other artistic collaborations, which are embodied in performances, photography, music publications, exhibitions, etc. The founder's self-taught exploration of photography and the fashion influence of his parents at a young age give rise to an avant-garde approach to visual imagery. The process overlaps organically, and the design stage takes into account not only the clothes, but also future documentation and communication. The result is a consistent connection between image and clothing, and the image and character of every garment becomes the garment. In fact, this consistency is not a product of chance, but a reflection of the unique language spoken by the brand, which has set a precedent for its visual identity and positioned it as a reference in the field. Despite the project's digital origins, it is increasingly engaged with physical spaces, where online communities thrive. Meanwhile, creative exploration and collaboration have cultivated a particularly strong network in the art sector, further enriching the growth of the project. The expansion of the concrete presence, represented by the PW World Tour, aims to engage the community personally beyond the digital world. Since 2014, it has held POPUP SOTRE in the cities of NY, LA, London, Paris, Seoul, Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Milan, and from SS24, it has joined the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week, solidifying its presence on the international fashion stage. In 2024, paloma wool has announced that it will open its first permanent space in Barcelona. The space will be a multifunctional place that will combine the functions of an office and a flagship store.
