Founded in 2014 by Palomo Lanna, the Barcelona-based brand paloma wool is characterized by its dedication to artistic exploration. Since its inception, it has organized an extraordinary dialogue between fashion and other artistic collaborations, which are embodied in performances, photography, music publications, exhibitions, etc. The founder's self-taught exploration of photography and the fashion influence of his parents at a young age give rise to an avant-garde approach to visual imagery. The process overlaps organically, and the design stage takes into account not only the clothes, but also future documentation and communication. The result is a consistent connection between image and clothing, and the image and character of every garment becomes the garment. In fact, this consistency is not a product of chance, but a reflection of the unique language spoken by the brand, which has set a precedent for its visual identity and positioned it as a reference in the field. It approaches fashion with purpose, pursuing natural beauty. The aesthetic of the collection is unique, blending a sense of balance between feminine and masculine, casual and sophisticated. With its attention to detail and playfulness, paloma wool is a celebration of effortless style, expressing the founder's penchant for clothes that are free of planning, and instead feel spontaneous and fresh. From delicate knitwork and experimental pattern creations to exquisite garment layering and intriguing fabric contrasts, each collection showcases meticulous technique and sensibility. Essential to the brand's identity are the accessories, which pay tribute to the Spanish leatherworking tradition. A commitment to local production further strengthens this tradition, while nurturing close relationships with suppliers, mainly small workshops in Spain and Portugal. By placing emphasis on quality and permanence, they create timeless garments that hold enduring value. As Paloma Lanna says, "When I design, my aim is to create clothes that can be passed down from mother to daughter. I hope that our clothes will remain in their hands for a long time." Despite the project's digital origins, it is increasingly engaged with physical spaces, where online communities thrive. Meanwhile, creative exploration and collaboration have fostered particularly strong networks in the arts sector, further enriching the growth of the project. Expanding our tangible presence, as exemplified by the PW World Tour, aims to engage with the community on a personal level beyond the digital world.
